“Life is Beautiful as a Single Parent” – Waje


Some people say if you want to hear a good song packed with meaningful lyrics and sung with a great voice, Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as is the lady you need.
No one heard anything from her since the beginning of the year, but on her birthday, September 1, appeased her impatient fans with two singles, ‘’ and ‘’ which are enjoying good airplay, especially ‘’. ’s NGO, which she also started in September has witnessed the kind of growth can be proud of.
Speaking to THISDAY in a recent interview, Waje appreciated her fans for the huge acceptance of her singles. She said her songs have been doing well, with over 37,000 downloads on a site where she’s topping the charts.
While answering questions on how she has been coping alone as a parent, she said she’s enjoying it.
“Honestly, for me, life as a single parent is beautiful because you would find out so many things about yourself that you were not aware of.
“You’d probably think you are a loving person but you’ll not know how loving and compassionate you are until you have a kid.
“There are certain things you’d want to do but you’ll be forced to sit down and think of the kind of example you’re laying down for your child. For instance, my daughter is my biggest fan and I’m not kidding you.”
Waje became famous working with P Square in ‘Do Me’. She has not forgotten her roots as she says she still “runs to Jude Okoye,” adding that “he’s actually the softest of the trio, but most people don’t know.”
In case you didn’t know, Waje goes about with her wardrobe. According to her, there are things you’ll always find in the booth of her car; “casual shoes, heels and so on in case I have an emergency interview.”
