Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals His Frustration At Messi Comparison… Says ‘I’m A Little Tired Of It’

Wherever and whenever football is mentioned, the two names most likely to prop up are Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentine, Lionel Messi. Both are on a 23-man shortlist compiled by FIFA’s football committee and experts from France Football magazine.
World’s Best: Cristiano & Messi
Due to the perceived rivalry between both players’ clubsides, Barcelona and Real Madrid, it is not always difficult to see a tie between both sides as a battle of superiority between the two players – with each attempting to oushine the other.
That has been the story for a long time especially since Ronaldo moved from Englad to Spain 3-years ago and it appears he is now tired of the incessant comparisons.
“The truth is I’m a little tired of it. It’s a little heavy but I’m used to it. I don’t like to compare myself with others”, he stated.
“Messi and I are different, that’s for sure. I respect him a lot.
“Messi can win (the Balon d’Or) but so can Xavi or Iniesta. And we cannot forget (Didier) Drogba or Falcao. They can also receive the trophy” he retorted when asked who will win the prestigious award between two of them.
The award, which is voted for by international managers and captains, as well as selected journalists, will be cut to a shortlist of three before a winner is named on January 7.
